Personal Wedding Ceremonies and Baby Naming Celebrations in London, Cambridge, Suffolk and Birmingham
When you are part of an outdoor wedding ceremony, be it as a bride, guest or even as the celebrant like me, you have to consider your footwear. Beach and garden weddings are hard on the shoes, with sinking into sand lawns and mud in tiny heels. Struggling to stay upright during an entire outdoor wedding ceremony can be a challenge! Here are my suggestions:
I love Dr Martens Airwair boots. I discovered them in my twenties.
I would love a pair of these and in fact I wear one of their other styles when I’m working (that’s right, celebrant approved!). In the more classic style they do also have boots in white and floral on their website.
Another option are the glorious ballet flats from French Sole. They have a dedicated wedding range, but there is enough choice on the site for any bride or guest. These are particularly lovely.
Finally, if you have found the perfect pair of skinny heels and set your heart on them, I’ve also found these nifty gadgets called Sole Mates. I They slip on over your heels and save you from the mud. I don’t know how they’d go on sand mind you, so if any of you have tried, I’d love to know!
So, are you going to an Outdoor Wedding this summer? What is your solution?
